    About this tool

    Which format should I choose?

    • JPG — photos; smallest files, no transparency.
    • PNG — screenshots, logos, anything needing transparency or crisp edges; lossless but larger.
    • WebP — modern all-rounder: 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, supports transparency; supported by all current browsers.

Transparent areas become white when converting to JPG, since JPG has no alpha channel. Any format your browser can display (including AVIF and, on Apple devices, HEIC) can be used as input.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?

In Safari on Mac/iOS, yes — Safari can decode HEIC. In Chrome and Firefox, HEIC isn’t supported; export the photo as JPG from the Photos app first.

Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?

JPG is lossy, so there is some loss, but at 90%+ quality it is not visible for photos. For graphics with sharp edges or text, prefer PNG or WebP.

Is there a limit on the number of files?

No. Conversion happens on your device, one file after another.
