Which format should I choose?
- JPG — photos; smallest files, no transparency.
- PNG — screenshots, logos, anything needing transparency or crisp edges; lossless but larger.
- WebP — modern all-rounder: usually smaller than JPG at the same quality, supports transparency; supported by all current browsers.
Transparent areas become white when converting to JPG, since JPG has no alpha channel. Any format your browser can display (including AVIF and, on Apple devices, HEIC) can be used as input.

Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?
