Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG, PNG or WebP that open everywhere — one at a time or a whole batch. The conversion happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.
🔒 This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or upload is sent to our servers.
How to use the HEIC to JPG Converter
- Choose the format you want: JPG for maximum compatibility, PNG for lossless, or WebP for the smallest files.
- Drop one or more .heic or .heif photos onto the box, or click to choose them.

- Download photos one by one, or all at once as a ZIP file.
About this tool
iPhones save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) by default. It is a good format — roughly half the size of a JPG for the same quality — but Windows, many websites, older Android phones and most upload forms still can’t open it. Converting to JPG makes a photo work everywhere.
Most HEIC converters upload your photos to a server, convert them there and send them back. This one doesn’t: the decoder runs inside your browser, so your pictures — often of family, documents or your home — never leave your device. Safari can read HEIC natively and is used directly when available; other browsers use an open-source HEIF decoder that downloads with the page.
JPG at 92% quality is visually indistinguishable from the original for almost any photo. Choose PNG if you need a lossless copy for editing, or WebP for files smaller than JPG that still open in every current browser. The converted files do not carry over the original’s hidden metadata — GPS location, camera model and the date taken — which is a privacy bonus when you share them, but means a photo app may sort them by the conversion date instead.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEIC to JPG on Windows?
Open this page in any browser, drop the HEIC files on the box and download the JPGs. There is nothing to install, and the photos are converted on your PC rather than uploaded.
Will converting lose quality?
JPG is lossy, but at the default 92% quality the difference is not visible. For a perfect copy choose PNG, which is lossless but produces much larger files.
Can I convert many photos at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many as you like; they are converted one after another and you can download them all together as a ZIP file.
Why is the JPG bigger than the HEIC file?
HEIC compresses about twice as efficiently as JPG, so the same photo at the same quality takes more space as a JPG. Choose WebP if size matters, or lower the quality slider.
What happens to Live Photos and bursts?
A HEIC file can hold several images. The converter saves the main (first) image, which is the one you see in the Photos app. The motion part of a Live Photo is a separate video file and isn’t affected.
Is the photo’s location kept?
No. The converted file does not include the original’s metadata, such as GPS location, camera details or the date taken. That makes it safer to share, though photo apps may then sort it by the date you converted it.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
