How to use the Reorder PDF Pages
- Drop in a PDF. Every page appears as a thumbnail in its current order.
- Drag a page to a new position, or use the arrow buttons underneath it — those work on a phone, where dragging does not.
- Remove a page with the ✕ button. Reverse flips the whole document; Reset puts everything back.
- Click Save reordered PDF to download the rebuilt document.
About this tool
Pages come out in the wrong order more often than they should. A double-sided document scanned in two passes arrives with all the odd pages followed by all the even ones. A report assembled from several files needs its appendix moved to the back. A booklet scanned from a stack ends up reversed. Fixing any of that by retyping page ranges into a box is guesswork; it is much easier when you can see the pages.
This tool renders a thumbnail of every page so you can work visually. Drag a page where you want it, or use the arrow buttons — those matter on a phone, where browsers do not support dragging between elements at all. The ✕ button drops a page from the output, which is how you delete blank separator sheets or a cover page you no longer want.
The saved file is built by copying the original page objects into a new document in your chosen order. Nothing is re-rendered, so text stays selectable, fonts and images are unchanged, and the quality is identical to the file you started with. It all happens inside your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib, so the document is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete pages as well as move them?
Yes. The ✕ button under a thumbnail removes that page from the output. The original file on your disk is never modified — you always get a new PDF.
Dragging does not work on my phone. What do I do?
Use the arrow buttons under each thumbnail instead. Mobile browsers do not implement the drag-and-drop interface that desktop browsers use, so the arrows are there to do the same job.
How do I reverse a PDF that was scanned back to front?
Click Reverse. It flips the entire page order in one step, which is the usual fix for a stack fed into a scanner the wrong way round.
Does reordering reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied across as they are, not re-rendered or re-compressed. Text stays selectable and images are unchanged.
What happens to bookmarks and links?
Internal links and bookmarks point at specific pages, so moving those pages can leave them pointing somewhere unexpected. The page content itself is always correct.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is read, previewed and rebuilt entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
